June 29, 2012 at 5:02 pm #178651I am already a member of the Joomla JATemplate club. I want to join the Magneto club too. However I am a little concerned about ‘how to use the JM templates’. I can see from the forums that some people have had problems with updating. Plus the current templates are all for the older version of Magneto 1.6, and not sure when the updates will be released for Magento1.7.1. One month? 2 months? … membership is only for 3 months.
What would help is some information or guidelines as to how to MANUALLY add/upgrade JM templates at a later date. I can see from the forum that each JM template comes with instructions….but this is a little dis-concerning, as I cannot judge how difficult future MANUAL upgrades will be. Joomla templates are easy, but how difficult are the Magento templates….is upgrading easy, difficult, what can go wrong? Will it just be certain template files that need to be uploaded and replaced or do the extensions change too?
I have already installed Magneto 1.7.1 and have started developing it. I just need to know is it easy to manually upload JM templates to it. It doesnt matter if the JM extensions dont work, but it is important that the JM template do. I am thinking of the JM Mozanis in particular. Can someone please give some insight before I join. Many thanks.

July 5, 2012 at 9:56 am #459990Hi maz001,
Each of our JM templates has its own guidelines of how to install and use template and extension it has. About upgrading all templates to the newest versioin 1.7, we are running full capacity in upgrading not only Magento but also our Joomla template as J1.5 version is going to its end of life pretty soon. We would love to get all of our products up to its latest version, however we have limited number of people in the team who has already been working full time and even extra hours on those upgrade. We shall do it as soon as possible.
About update/upgrade JM templates, you can view our change log to see the difference in new version. You can also use tool like winmerge to compare files/folders of 2 versions to see the differences.
I tried to install JM Mozanis template within magento version 1.7 and it works fine. Maybe it still contains some errors I’ve not figured out (cause it need testing before releasing to newest version) but almost fuctions work properly.
Regards.
July 6, 2012 at 9:30 am #460075Hi,
I am planning to start my own ecom site with JM-Pixeri theme. My Initial budget is very limited. So I can not buy installation service that you provide for 40$. Being Software guy, i can do installation if proper steps or document or guide is provided. I am planning to buy JM_Pixeri theme and use go.magento.com for my webhosting. Can you just tell me whether JM_pixeri provides detailed installation guide for go.magento.com.
Initially i will use some temporary domain name on go.magento.com but later i will buy my own domain. is it possible to change domain later if I buy Single personal use license?
One more thing, You guys have very nice magento template. Why can you partner with go.magento and provide one click install for your themes from their admin panel.
