This is crazy. I uploaded the file to the cpanel – I unzip it creating a Quickstart sub-directory. The quickstart sub-directory has file that is zipped that I then need to unzip. I run the install pointing to the quickstart sub-directory where it then proceeds through the process. I get to the FTP part, tell it to use /public_html/ rather than the default public_html/Quickstart, however, it still installs it in the Quickstart sub-directory. What am I doing wrong. I have don’t really want to delete this, but I need this to install in the root!

Then I did deleted the install.php instead of the installation directory initially – please HELP!

    Thank you.

The FTP settings in the install process are not used for uploading/installing your site. If you want to use the quickstart package then here is how you do it.

    1. Unzip the file you downloaded for Joomlart on your PC
    2. Open the quickstart folder and unzip the .zip file that is in it
    3. Upload these new files to your Root directory
    4. Run the install
    5. When finished rename you Install directory or delete it.
