Hello
Just downloaded and installed JA Kyanite II… looks great.
Am now formatting my pages.
Does anyone have a design guide? or a guide to which style sheets do what?
thanks.

June 29, 2010 at 12:09 pm #348397Hi Richard
In general you can find a very brief user guide at the first thread in the particular forum, that is for the Kyanite forum look at the top level stickied thread. The module positions graphic, list of modules and rough guide to their use are generally there. JA is not great on documentation sadly and you’ll notice some screenshots and descriptions are cut & paste stuff from other templates. One day I may try to compile some better docs and offer them 😉

June 29, 2010 at 1:24 pm #348407Thanks Shannon – that helps.
But can you give me some more information about the actual styles used on the page? EG – on the typography demo page how did you get it to display as two columns?
thanks

July 10, 2010 at 5:57 am #349510Really is almost pointless to try and figure out the templates module positions and other info from the forum and what is offered. Really no different than buying a tool and then having to search all over for the instructions.
The directions for the templates at least for me are what keeps me from waisting mass amount of time in the forums searching through post after post of things I do not need help with. Hoping to find what I need and then doing what I hate to do and that is post a request in a forum or help ticket system. Only to wast even more time waiting for a reply and hoping it is from someone that actually knows the solution.
I would pay more for my membership if documentation would be included in the template or at least be part of the demo (Like everyone else does now)! As of now I don’t see the benefit in buying another subscription on something that is taking me more time to do than the task of just building a template from scratch.
