I Second this.
The user guide is SH**. It is not complete at all. For instance, what kind of menu items were used on the demo?
If not a FULL user guide is provided. YOU need to make sure we get our hands on a proper QUICKSTART! For people that already have MijoShop license.
I can’t spend 5 hours figuring out how to get the thing look like the demo. That is a 5 minute job with QUICKSTART.
How do i explain my customer it’s gonna cost him an extra 200 euro’s because of lack of decent info and quickstart???This is unacceptable guys..
Need a solution for this!!
Regards

January 7, 2014 at 3:23 am #517607Hi guys, as Mijoshop is a commercial extension, we have no way to integrate this addon into the Quickstart package. We provide userguide to walk you through installation and configuration for this instead.
@tom: May I know more about the missing information in the guide? Your feedback would help us a lot. Thanks in advance for that.

January 7, 2014 at 6:25 am #517626If you are going to use Mijoshop you need to take a look at Opencart website also! Plus they have videos on YouTube. Most of Mijoshop content comes from Opencart anyway. And keep in mind Joomlart is a Template company and while its template may work with a host of different components, Joomlart is not the place one should look for answers when it comes to Mijoshop or any other component unless they are the developer of the product.
Once you learn how Opencart works using Mijoshop will be a piece of cake!
Once you install Mijoshop the first thing you are going to want to do is go to settings and setup your store info or address, image size, enter your license key info, Paypal email address, shipping and how and what plugins you want to load or use. And try to get all the basic store info out of the way before you try to add products, Manufac. Categories or modules and plugins. Before buying a plugin from Opencart make sure The developer of Mijoship have a version working with Mijoshop.
And try to keep your first shop simple (25 to 50 products) And if you don’t need a module or plugin disable it. Product Options
can take forever in Opencart or Mijoshop you you are going to want to buy a module from Opencart.com in order to add more than one option to a product at a time. By keeping what you do simple you will learn how this component work much faster than trying to import a Virtuemart Shop with hundreds products into Mijoshop! Mijoshop is one of the best component you can use to import an host of e-commerce components products into Mijoshop. But keep in mind it does not import options and product elements, and this is where a Product Option Module from Opencart will come in handle or allow you to get some sleep…4 users say Thank You to charles99 for this useful post

Regarding the missing documentation information I can say that there is nothing about how you set up mijoshop nor is there any documentation on how to replicate the “books” menu item.
I’m having problems getting my “popular products” to be replicated like the demo and it’s taken over a week with support from admins and it’s still not been fixed.
I do love JA’s designs and their innovations but commercial extensions in templates should be a no go, or they should have quickstarts that can be downloaded including the commercial extensions when users provide proof of purchase for any said extension.
Just trying to save headache’s is all

January 21, 2014 at 1:33 pm #519260Thanks, I already tried that guide but it doesn’t tell you what backend settings to use to replicate the demo shop. What I mean is,
1. How to setup all the mijoshop menu items
2. How to setup home-page to show products like demoJust those 2 bits are missing from the main documentation

January 22, 2014 at 8:03 am #519351Our sample data package for JA Bookshop and the userguide above will help you set up our template with Mijoshop component as per demo. Just compare the back-end settings of Mijoshop prior and after installing this additional package to have the difference in more details.
Our documentation team has been notified to get those updated.

Hi Guys,
The above would be checked and update to the documentation in the next few days. I am also trying to see if i can get another demo up for JA Bookshop with backend access for all with encrypted source files.
Hope it will help to resolve the issues faced by you all.
Regards
Arvind

January 30, 2014 at 3:12 pm #520528I think everyone is expecting Joomlart to teach them how to use Mijoshop in some ways! If you really what to take advantage of this template take the time to read up on Opencart first, then Mijoshop!
Mijoshop is a bridge that connect Opencart to Joomla! 90% of their videos on their website is posted on YouTube.com and their videos shows you how to use Opencart not Mijoshop!
This is the problem I ran into when I first brought Mijoshop or should I say Aceshop before they change the name to Mijoshop.
There is no way Joomlart can post all the in’s and out’s of Opencart on their website. If you are going to use this template you must put in the work in learning how Opencart works! Then you will see how easy it is to use Mijoshop!
installing module, create your catoegies, add product and options. Mijoshop is now posting new modules and plugins on their website. If you take a look at the product on their website you will see they are all posted on Opencart.com or should I say coming from Opencart.com!
Don’t confuse getting this template up and running with knowing how Mijoshop works! If you don’t take the time to learn how Opencart works you are setting your shop up to be hacked!
With all the confusing related to this template maybe Joomlart should just make a template for Opencart or a bridge like these guys did. It would give joomlart a bit more control on what their members need to do… Instead of sending their members to a third party for help!
All Mijoshop is, is a bridge that let Opencart run in Joomla! So take the time to learn how Opencart works!

April 1, 2014 at 7:41 am #528919@ shcherbonos,
The Mijoshop style package in JA Bookshop template refers to these files: JA Bookshop Theme for Mijoshop, Mijoshop Modules Accordion, Mijoshop Modules Slider, as in this screenshot:
Then you can follow our user guide to proceed the installation.
