I am not a newbie to photoshop, but am to joomla. Where is the “appropriate directory” I post the new images to? Can someone please walk me through all things after editing the images?
Thank you!
July 8, 2008 at 1:30 pm #258574For some reason I am unable to upload the header images to my site. I don’t have permission to ftp into that directory and I cannot find a way to upload the files through the GUI of Joomla. Is there a way to upload through Joomla?
July 22, 2008 at 8:29 pm #261572Thanks for putting this great info out there. The Photoshop instructions are clear and it really saves a lot of time and stress making the images this way. They work as they should and look super!
Appreciate your efforts and willingness to share your expertise!

September 7, 2008 at 4:37 pm #269229I use Fireworks and have found using the export area tool on the larger 950×289 image to work best. Simply create the various marquees, choose the export area function, then name accordingly. I tried doing it the other way and it took me quite a while.

November 23, 2008 at 2:32 am #279998Here is how i do it using Fireworks CS3
————————–- Open your image, select the web->Slice Tool from the toolbar, select an image area of 950×294 (NOTE: you can type in the size in the JPEG Slice dimension area w:950, H:294)
- Right click on the selected area, and choose “Export Selected Slice”. I usually call this sh0?-base.jpg
- Now open sh0?-base.jpg
- Using web->Slice Tool, select an area of 950×205 (NOTE: select any area, then type w:950, h:205, x:0, y:0), right click and save it as sh0?-bg1.jpg
- Change w:220, h:89, x:0, y:205, right click and save it as sh0?-bg2-wide.jpg
- Change w:175 , h:89, x:0, y:205, right click and save it as sh0?-bg2-narrow.jpg

Thanks. There are a few of us here on the forum that can modify images for you, I have created a few useful ones themed to names etc for those who cannot think of any
just ask and someone generally offers to do it as long as it’s not a huge time consuming exercise

Please follow the instructions below.
1. Send an email to: jaygustafson AT jmg1978 DOT com
2. Attach all of your images, that you would like to be converted into header images.
3. The subject line must say: "Rochea Header Images" so that your email won't be mistaken as SPAM.
4. If there are any details I should know, please include them in the body of your message.@tfernandez 114301 wrote:
is this still an available request? Please advise.
