hi guys, I’m currently building a site for a customer and he unfortunately did not like the format of the template that I used. so instead of just starting over, I figured i would just toy with the html some and see if i can get the results that my client was looking for. Although my knowledge of HTML is limited I think I could do it, I just need to know how to access the HTML code through joomla in order to make edits. I’m currently using the template JA Social II and filezilla as my FTP application

    Hi there

Joomla is built using php files that are previously processed and as output they render html code builded by browsers, so Joomla has no html files inside it but only php files.

If you need to modify a template there are other options available then editing files directly, for example you can work on css files if you need to change colors , dimensions, fonts , when not available already from template manager.

    Hope it helps

Thank you for the help! I’ve modified just about all that i can in the .css code and i was looking to change some things that I could not find in the .css. so now that ive made myself sound stupid not knowing the difference between php and html haha, how exactly should i go about finding the php script through filezilla(if at all possible)
