    Hi Guys,

I’m heavily customizing this template, and want it done so that on the home page, no content is displayed at all. On all the other pages I want the content to display.

I know I need to edit / change / add in some PHP into the index file to make this happen, just wondering if you guys can help me out?

Here’s the link to my site:

Just to clarify, I’m wanting to display the 3 rectangle images on the home page instead of content.

    Thanks!

Simply create a new menu item as an article and make that the default item. Your article can contain the three rectangles.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the 3 images are actually module positions that I have created, so it won’t work to have them in an article.

    Any other ideas?

If they are just images linking to other pages you could just embed those images in an article.

    Otherwise, it gets complicated.

They may not be images in the future. I’m trying to change the php for the home page. I know it’s comlicated, which is why I’m seeking help in this forum.

Does anybody know how to achieve this?

    Thanks guys 🙂

Just had a quick look. It will need more work but as a start try opening templates>ja_mica>html>com_content>frontpage>default_item.php and remove all the lines from line 25 onwards.

Not sure if you have already modified this for your custom modules however.

Then you’ll have a little work to do in the backend and maybe adjust some css but I haven’t time to fully investigate tonight.

Thanks for your suggestion, I tried this and it had no effect on the front page. Thanks for looking into it though, I appreciate it 🙂

Is anyone here skilled in PHP, that would know how to tackle this?

It should have had a big effect on your front page. It does on my test system.

If it had no effect then you must be viewing a cached version. Clear both your browser and joomla caches.

OK, Yes it works, but it’s not really what I was meaning. Let me try to re-phrase the question. I want to get rid of everything under the images: (transparent box, breadcrumbs, RHCC text, basically that whole small area under my images.)
