February 16, 2009 at 2:07 pm #138192Hello All,
This has got actually nothing to do with Joomlart, but i thought maybe i should just post it on the forum maybe somebody has an idea.
I have officially been given over a development of an component that was made for Joomla 1.0. My first target is to make it compatible to J1.5 first by legacy, then stable.
I have managed to get it installed. But then the errors start coming. First is while installing ->
XML Parsing Error at 92:56. Error 4: not well-formed (invalid token)
Under it comes -> Component Install Success.Sadly, the component install success part is just a fake, because even though the files are installed and put in the right folders, mysql db created, there are no submenus in the components>book library part. Attaching a screenshot for reference of both J1.0 and J1.5
I have already spent 2 days looking at the code, and now am lost.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Mihir Chhatre.questbg Friendquestbg

Really wish I could help, but this is way beyond me!
Having said that, this looks a really interesting project so I’m happy to now be subscribed to this thread now!
Good Luck

It does validate.

Chris</blockquote>Hello Chris,
Thanks a ton. Once we get these issues sorted out, and have a dedicated website, the first version of the component will be out.
I would forward for all your comments.

February 22, 2009 at 7:19 pm #292887Hope you fix that soon, I also need to migrate a combined plugin and module to 1.5 stable, in this case from legacy to stable, however you like to see it. When you can share some information about the migration, like a tutorial you know etc. as the one “Removing a legacy Pt. 1 to 3” is not very detailed, I think some more users would appreciate it.
Thanks!
