Hi, does anyone know how to make the template look like the demo?
I’m a newbie, but have designed in joomla but not really with these templates, I’m having problems figuring out what to do. Please help. I have a website up already – but want to redesign it completely using the JA Community Plus template. I really like the features.

I guess my question is if I download the quickstart – will it mess up what I already have online?

Yes, You are right. Please install quickstart package if you wish to have replica of demo template

Quickstart package is always recommended and suggested to be installed on clean joomla install so please dont try installing on existing joomla site.

Dear msudiva2!

There’re 2 ways for you in this case:

1. Use your old site, download all packages of ja community plus (except quickstart package), install packages one by one and make configuration for them like the user guide:

http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-community-plus-userguide-old/

You will have our template working well in your old site if you do correctly.

2. Create new folder in your host (example “test”) and more a database (“test”). Download our quickstart package, upload to your test folder then run this address:

http://yoursite/test

install the quickstart package with “test” database.

After finishing install, please re install and make config for extensions that you need in old site to the new.
