I need help with the social media icons in the top right corner.
I went to this link (https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-magz-ii) to try to figure out how to make these icons link to my social media sites. I have to say in other templates I have used, this simple task has been very self-evident. When I looked at the head-social module in this template, I am mystified. It appears to me to be invisible. I cannot figure out where the code is that is making the icons appear or where the links that come with the template are located. On firefox I can see them in firebug, but cannot find what file they are in. It is very frustrating.
But at the above link, it tells me to insert code that it provides. At least that is what I think it does. Here is the screen shot of the instruction below.
I went into the module and unfortunately made the mistake of copying and pasting the code in that picture into the text editor without first toggling to the source code. So I did not get to see what the original code was. But when I looked at the template on another site, from the back end, no code is visible even when you toggle to the source code. Why does everything have to be invisible? When I pasted into the source code the portion from the website documentation, and then inserted links to my sites’ links, the social media icons disappeared.
Can anyone help me restore these and explain how to use this "head social" module? I really wish someone could explain how this kind of hiding the ball stuff makes life easier. I’m sure it must, but I do not get it at all.

July 10, 2016 at 9:23 am #948503Hi there
I added again code inside Head Social custom-html module, problem is due to the default editor , if you want to add simple html code then you first need to disable default editor from global configuration then add the html code to the module and then save it.
Ad you can see now social channels icons are correctly showing just change social urls now inside module with your own social urls.Regards
July 10, 2016 at 5:54 pm #948561Great. I will check it out and hopefully in adding the correct links will not have the code disappear again. I’ll try to understand what you are saying about the defaul editor.
Much appreciated!
Hank
July 10, 2016 at 10:39 pm #948577Pavit, one question: with regard to disabling the default editor in global configuration. Do you have a recommendation about perhaps a better editor you recommend I install?
Thanks,
Hank

July 15, 2016 at 1:41 am #9502462 issues:
1) Will someone help me get back into this forum. I am being told I am not a paid subscriber and I am a paid subscriber. Now I am a paying customer who is losing money because I paid for something for a limited period of time and yet I don’t get to use the product during the time I paid for. I am posting here because when I just go to the regular JA Magz ii forum, I am told I can’t get in without signing up and paying when I have already done that. I post two shots showing proof of membership and the denial of membership.
2) The reason I want to use the forum is I am having a problem with the AddThis sharing which when I share an article to facebook, gives intro text that includes the super user, the category, repeats the title even though the title is already given, indicates the typography and sharing options, all before giving the opening text of the article. I don’t want that junk in what I share. I want it to begin with the text of the article.
Here is what it gives: "Super User Details Activism 3 days ago When They Come For Our Vote When They Come For Our Vote Reading Mode aA aA Share This When They Come For Our Vote Page 2 All Pages Page 1 of 2By Hank Edson / People supporting Hillary Clinton often compare the “Bernie or Bust” movement to Ralph Nader’s third p…" (see third picture)
But what I want is only "By Hank Edson / People supporting Hillary Clinton often compare the “Bernie or Bust” movement to Ralph Nader’s third p…"
I wanted to see if anyone else had this problem, but because I’m being kept out of the forum even though I paid for it, I have to post here. Please help.
Thank you,
Hank Edson

July 15, 2016 at 9:03 pm #950586Hi Nikki,
I went back to the joomlart site a few hours later, went to my account page and found the Magz ii forum as one I was subscribed to. When I clicked on the link from that location, I got in.
Therefore, I don’t need help on this anymore. Thank you if you helped correct the problem.
Hank
