I need step by step instruction on how to update JA Rasite template for Joomla 1.6 and T3 Framework as it is my understanding that both have been recently updated and recommended that an update be done. I installed a clone of the original JA Rasite so I am not sure how to go about updating. To give you an idea about the JA Rasite template I installed through Filezilla FTP, I am including the file name, it is “jatc_rasite_j16_release”.

Upgrade steps :

View the comparison between versions at JoomlArt Version Updates and replace the affected files, if you have not customized the affected files.
RECOMMENDED : Use JA extension Manager Component for upgrade. Watch video for how to upgrade using JAEM.

If i was you, i would have done the following.

1. Take backup of the complete site using Akeebabackup component.
2. Follow either of the above 2 steps to upgrade the template / Framework plugin.
