September 16, 2009 at 2:52 am #144252I am not using quickstart, but would like to setup different css colour theme for different menu items like in your demo.
How to do that?

September 16, 2009 at 4:10 am #317487Hi,
The colors can be changed by going into
Module Manager > mod_janews2 > there to the right you will see option Section IDs
now say for Section 13 you want to give red color, 14 say orange, 8 say deep blue you say
13:red
14:orange
8:deepblueeach section and color should be on separate line like shown

September 16, 2009 at 5:47 am #317492Hi
I am also talking about changing menu color – the color options have to be given from the JA News Module.
What color you want for the menu should be set like I have mentioned in the Section ID area
Thanks

September 16, 2009 at 5:50 am #317493oh, I see. colour is linked to section. colour theme only shown when section link is created in menu.
Because I got only 1 section with many categories. How to have single color theme per each Category?
I also want to apply colour theme to other items on my menu, but they are not content section and category. Is it possible?
Can I use Page Class Suffix in menu item to achieve this?

September 16, 2009 at 6:10 am #317495If you want to specify the category color then you simply have to write the category id
but you must remember that if you use category id then the parent section id should not have a color value.say your section id is: 10 and you have categories 41,42, 44
so you can give color to 41, 42, 44
but then you must not specify 10 else it will override the category color settings.chanton Friendchanton

September 16, 2009 at 6:22 am #317496Since I have both section ID 6 and Category ID 6, when I put 6:red for Category, it shows for section ID 6.
How to set category ID for colour?

September 16, 2009 at 6:31 am #317498hmm…good question. not sure how to do that!
You could see if adding a new section creates a different section ID. then you could use the categories to display the colorother thing you could go directly into the database and change the ID’s of the section and categories so that they dont conflict…
but you could raise this issue with JA Support – they might be able to give you an explaination in this regard. -
