I want to put an image on the right side of my template. I have attached an image for the reference. The area marked in orange color is the place where I want my image.

I think adding new module position there will solve your problem.or adding a background with image may be simple trick.but adding new module position will be more effective

This won’t help me to create a module outside the page width.
See that image which I have attached. You will get an idea.
