    Hi there,

I would like to add some type of menu above the standard navbar menu as seen attached

Is it best to use something like ‘JA Promo Bar Module’ although I tested it on the live demo and it seems cover the main menu?! https://joomla-extensions.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/ja-promo-bar

Any advise on how to do this

    Thanks!

Hi there – I don’t have anything to enable yet I am just enquiring in to how it would be best to add a top menu above the standard navbar in puritylll…and needed an idea on how to accomplish this.

    Thanks,

    Chris.

    Hi Chris,

At this moment you can add JA Promo bar to any position but when you click to show, the bar will cover the main menu.

Hi & thanks for that but as per my originally thread last week I knew it covered the menu which is not what I am after really.

Is there any way you can tell me if I can do a similar menu to the one you even have on this page ‘topbar’ style menu? see attached image

    Thanks again

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

You will need to customize the header block of template to achieve that

Just copy the acm-topbar.php or top-bar.php file from Ja Healthcare or Uber Template to your template blocks folder.

Then add this to your default.php file

<?php $this->loadBlock('top-bar') ?> (this has to at the top of the loadBlocks)

    or

<?php $this->loadBlock('acm-topbar') ?> (this has to at the top of the loadBlocks)

Then add this to the templateDetails file

        <position>acm-topbar</position>

    or

    topbar

Save and you will have a new module position right above the main menu position without all the editing…

    Hope this helps…

Hi there – That’s great if I can have that extra position plus I should be able setup no problems BUT I don’t have access to the acm-topbar.php or top-bar.php files any anywhere or can I copy from the element.

    Many Thanks,

    Chris.

You will need to have subscription for JoomlArt Template club in order to download these files as currently you have free account only.
