June 19, 2010 at 6:21 pm #151922Strange, but Zeolite 2 doesn’t allow us to modify the template width as it is normal for the new T3 framework (see here http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Template_Framework/Guides ) and for other templates recently released by Joomlart based on the same framework (please Joomlart team fix this if you can).
Anyway, I need to change the fixed width from 950 pixels to 1050 pixels, how can I do this?
Anyone able to point me to the right direction?
Thanks in advanceHenry

June 22, 2010 at 9:21 am #347695Dear Henry!
Please access the configuration of the template you choose “Specified Pixel ” for the Template Width parameter and then you ‘ll put 1050 into the Specified width parameter
GOod luck

June 22, 2010 at 10:16 pm #347758Hi Tien, and thanks for getting back to me.
The problem is that Zeolite2 doesn’t have any template width parameter in the configuration (at least in the version downloaded from the member area), please see the image here attached.
The strange thing is that this option is available for every template released under the T3 framework, but not for Zeolite 2.
Is it possible to change the width by accessing the configuration files?
What files do we need to change?
ThanksHenry

I have just downloaded the latest version and all modules yesterday, installed it & I can not see where to change the template width either.
I want to change the template width to 1000px and reduce the left& right side modules positions a few pixels. Does this have to be done by altering code or am i missing something.
Im new to using Joomlart Templates, so please forgive me if ive missed something simple

August 9, 2010 at 8:10 am #352125I recommend you that, you should not change width of the template, please keep all width as now, please the template does not supports changing width of the template, if you change the width, some parts of the template will be displayed wrong and looks not well 😐
August 9, 2010 at 8:29 am #352129That doesn’t help me out too much?
Im new to using JA Templates. I have always used YOOtheme and Rocket Theme, where you can set template widths and left right template widths in most of there templates and the newer gantry templates in Rocket theme are very customizable.
As JA looked as professional if not more professional I assumed this would be the same with these templates.
:((>:(

August 11, 2010 at 2:50 am #352304Yes sandstorm871! 🙂
i can guide how to change width, because this template is bonus templates which use old images and improved using t3 framework for the template, so some restrictions of width still exist in the template, so that i recommended about the issue :), i will post my solution at the next post

August 11, 2010 at 1:34 pm #352349Hi Tien,
Thanks for your reply. I am using version of the template that was downloaded 1 week ago. I have had a look at the templateDetails.xml and cannot see that code. Tried to find it with finder in dreamweaver too in case I missed something
Here is everything within my templateDetails.xml file

August 17, 2010 at 3:53 am #352890If you follow steps in post #9, then the template allows changing the width via the template’s parameters. One note, as mentioned before, the template used old images with fixed size, so if you increase the width of the template, the template might not fit well. So the template allows you to decrease the width only.
