August 1, 2008 at 12:30 am #131622hate to post here, but i have to….
I asked some questions recently, and no moderator cared to send an excuse, let alone a solution…some of them are:
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-change-the-position-of-column/ on 9 July 2008
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-move-pdfemailprint-icnos-to-the-position-of-user-tool/ on 23 July 2008
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/janewsmoo-not-working-on-this-template/ on 30 July 2008i also posted some questions and problems, and eventually had to solve them by myself or change another module provided by third parties…
On top of the above service problems, i think Joomlart tempates are not as good as some other templates club…
1. tempates are becoming heavier and heavier without proper consideration for optimization, such as compression of js and css files, taking out unnecessary files and modules at back end..take this labra for example, many articles and modules are published at back end, but many of them are not necessary.
2. same boring typo all the time, we need pretty tableless contents, forms, etc..JA has many templates which u can just enjoy their demo and can not put them into use…cuz once u create ur own menus and contents, u will find they are not really practical..

August 1, 2008 at 1:16 am #263301Hi Keane,
I looked at your questions and the responces.
The first thread you refrence was asking for a major template modification. This is not a supported support question and would require some heavy mods to the template. Your question had nothing to do with a problem of the template. There is a forum for template modification requests, you should have posted there and you may have gotten a responce.
The second question was answered by a JA moderator/staff member. He basically told you that the template design would break if you did what you were asking to do. Again your question was for a template modification. There are also answers to hiding those icons if you search the forum.
The third question was asking for help on a module you installed from another template which was not intended for the template in question. That post was also only posted yesterday.
If you want a custom template you really should either have some knoledge of PHP, CSS, and HTML, or post your requests in the correct forum.
Good luck with your project
