October 16, 2009 at 1:50 am #145254I have ja_news2 & ja_fp on the frontpage, but I don’t want them to show when I click on an article or go to a Section Blog Layout.
on the Teline III demo the section/category/article layouts are all unique. Where is there more information or a tutorial on how to change each page?

October 16, 2009 at 3:11 pm #320727I new it was a simple solution, but even a simple solution isn’t if yu don’t know the answer. Sometimes you have to go back to the basics.
In the Module Manager you can edit each module using Menu Assignment to indicate which specific page or type of page that module appears. In my case I wanted the mod_ja_fp to appear only on the home page and not every page so in Menu Assignment> Menu: I clicked Select Menu Item instead of All, then I selected Home under Menu Selection.
With this strategy I can edit each module to limit where it shows up according to the menu be it a Section Blog, Category List or whatever. It also means I can install content relevant modules on different sections, categories and even individual articles.
For example , if I install a Job Board I can install advertising modules that are especially geared to this demographic. Or I can drop in a media player on a particular section about Music, or put an Amazon Affiliate link tied to a particular topic.
I am working hard at learning and this forum has THE BEST support I have ever seen. Many thanks!
