The top menu is not rendered properly in Internet Explorer 8.0 — the curve image to the right of the last menu item is lower than the rest of the menu items and the entire menu is disconnected from the sub menu. This is true for the live demo on this site as well (see attached screenshot).

Other browsers (including IE 6.0 and 7.0) seem to show JA Nerine just fine.

Any ideas on how to fix this bug?

it isn’t really a bug, we’ve discussed IE 8 issues and the ja ream isn’t, not can they, address the compatibility issues until some kind of final stable release of ie8 is a out.

their is a thread about the compatibility issues here

on page two there is info about a meta tag that will make the browser revert to IE8 compatibility so that things will work.
