I’m importing articles through a customised RSS article import. For some reason, the newly created articles are not displayed in the frontpage or blog layout mode although they are listed in the backend. They are supposed to be the first articles displayed because the order used for frontpage and blog layout is descending date. Clearing or disabling cache makes no difference, nor does switching development mode. I’ve checked the dates and they are correct, so the newly created articles should be displayed in top position.

Are they set as “featured” articles also?

Both JA News Featured and JA News Pro! are set to display featured and unfeatured articles. After adding the ‘latest news’ module to the frontpage, I just noticed that the new articles aren’t even displayed in the list of latest articles. What is bizarre is that after upgrading the RSS fulltext import component, the articles suddenly appeared, but additional articles importet later on are not shown although they are listed in the content manager of the backend. Obviously no JA problem. It’s either Joomla 2.5 or the RSS component.

As it turns out, the articles do appear, but not in top position as they should. This has to do with the date that’s assigned to the article by the import tool, respectively the timezone used when assigning the date.
