Hi Support

I had a big problem about three months ago. Despite numerous interventions from JA Mods and JA Staff, the issue was never solved.

Eventually, I had to have one section of my site (with four categories) working totally different to the rest of my site – this was made possible thanks to some modified code from Menalto and a rather clumsy workaround (every image has to be manually sized to 100 x 100 pixels as image resizing is not functioning).

Today, three months later, this serious problem has hit me again!

This time, I really need a fix for this, not a workround!

Today I tried to add a new category into one of my sections. I went into Category Manager, duplicated one of the original categories in this section, renamed it and saved. I then went to Magazine menu and modified the section with the new category. All fine so far:

However, once again, the new category does not behave like the original category I copied:

Here’s the new category … with no ‘Image Resize’ working:

I really don’t want to manually resize every image in this section to 100 x 100 pixels to make it look correct. This works OK at category level, but looks really messy in the articles.

This is (fortunately) working (or should I say not working!) on my test site at the moment:

The section is ‘Travel’.

‘Over the Border’ and ‘Out and About’ categories work fine, the new category ‘Activities’ is the one with the problem.

Please could somebody tell me how to ensure that the image resize function is applied to this new category?

As you will see, there is a problem with image resize at ‘Category’ level, not on Front Page?

Any ideas where to start looking for this problem?

OK. I will send SuperAdmin username and password as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, I upgraded to a dedicated server yesterday and everything has gone wrong!!! I’ve even lost my Admin password to the Control Panel

OK, I have reproduced the problem on my test site.

Original Category, works OK is here: http://www.joomla.questbg.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=8&Itemid=150&lang=en

Duplicate of above Category, not working is here: http://www.joomla.questbg.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=901&Itemid=295&lang=en

As you will see, there is a problem with images not resizes at ‘Category’ level in the duplicated category.

I will PM you SuperAdmin details now so you can take a look. I hope you can find the problem!!

This is strange problem, i have checked on teline ii package but can’t re-produce the problem , please try to download attachment file and extract it , copy and overwrite to templatesja_teline_iihtmlcom_contentcategory folder .

sorry for delay ! i have some private problem some day before , now i still can go to forums, i’m really sorry you ! i have tried in teline ii quickstart but can’t re-produce the problem. it seems there is problem in config auto resize width and height of image in ja news and ja news FP module , maybe before you config width and height to 200px then you reconfig it to 100 px . so image not resize for second changing.
Please install new teline ii quickstart and try to copy category , you will see it doesn’t appears the problem.
