Hallo guys, I would like to have some feedback on my new shopping site. Note that there are more products to be added, so bare with me if it looks empty…
Thanks alot for viewing!
PS. I’ve set the the layout to be blue , but it is still opening up in the original default color . Anyone know why that is happening? In the html file i put “blue” instead of “default”.

February 7, 2007 at 7:17 am #214180To me it displays “GREEN” colour as default… 🙂
Some issues I see,
1: The tools box is “behind” the banner/JA-header
2: The JA-header is rotating too fast I think.Using I.E 6.0 here for testing. 🙂
Other than that, way to go. Good choice for template! 🙂
February 7, 2007 at 8:04 am #214190Hey there, nice website!
I’m using Firefox 2.0.0.1 and the Tools are rendering properly in front of the header. Also thought you’d like to know I’m getting the Blue theme as default upon visiting. Looks very nice. I really love the menu and it’s opacity effect.
The flash banner is rotating way too fast.
As far as adjustments, I might go with a lighter gradient with the “Breadcrumbs area seeing as the link seems to blend in too much.
Also the 3 featured products would look nicer if the “Add to Cart” buttons lined up uniformly.
The visitors module isn’t impressive at all and if nothing else should be hidden until you’ve reach at least 1,000. Otherwise people who see your site as very professional may think otherwise after seeing how relatively new and unpopular (no offense) it is.
And lastly the banner for the GPS product at the bottom looks like an advertisement pop-up and glancing at it I cant’ tell what it is trying to sell to me. I’d go with a larger image/banner that clear states what product is being advertised.
Sorry if that sounded like I was trying to tear your site apart, there are FAR too many pluses to name!
Again, wonderful job. 😎

opening as blue for me FF 2.01, I think the rotator is a bit fast to change also, I shrunk the site to minimum and the credit card images break outside the box , maybe remove the smaller size from tools? In I.E 7 the site tools are behind the rotator in FF they are in front
Using the “company button” from main menu I do not get anyhing about the company the drop menu doesn’t work there, I can get the correct info from the top menu if I go to the contact page or the about us page I then see the left ( main) menu items open and showing other selections?
A personal hate is having to scroll down the equivilent of ten pages to view all your products, maybe there is a way to split them into sections so you get 1 1/2 pages ( length) each section etc I’m sure you know what i mean.
Over the site looks clean and neat those few little things are easily fixed I’m sure
Good work ! PM me when you’re ready for a full site check in I.E 7, Opera (9.0 and FF 2.01
Cheers ShannonFebruary 7, 2007 at 8:47 am #214196Hi Erik, thanks for the feedback. As for the toolbox…it seems when I use “javascript type” in the settings, it shows up behind the header module (in IE only). When i tried publishing it as Flash, its not showing the images…(any tips?)
Once again, thanks and I will address the other problems. 🙂

Thanks for the feedback Jason. That’s what I asked for so you didn’t hurt any feelings, lol. I took care most of the issues u pointed out. As suggested by Shannon regarding the product list being so long, how can I changed the default Display list to be “10” instead of “50”??
February 21, 2007 at 9:21 pm #214831Why is the flash banner rotating soo fast in FF and normal in IE? I can’t seem to find a solution for that…..

February 22, 2007 at 8:02 am #214841It rotates extremely fast in IE for me as well. In the status bar ( bottoom left corner of the browser ) you will see that you have an error mesage. This seems to be related to permissions of some kind. This is located on line 53. I am not sure what this is but you should look into it.
Other than that it looks pretty good, even though I am not sure if I like the green colour ( as it shows up with green as default for me ) ( maybe it is just remembering my settings? )
Well, thanks for sharing. 🙂
