I have been playing with a blog using WordPress and I have to say that after using Joomla I was astonished at how simple and fast the update system is for plugins (components, extensions). I don’t see WordPress as an alternative to Joomla for a content based site, I see it as more suited to a blog site, however Joomla should learn something from this feature and the JA Versioning component and incorporate it into the standard release.

This represents a great step forward for management of Joomla sites.

I had a problem as to how to upgrade RSGallery2 v 2.1.0 to V 2.1.1. The RSGallery2 site seems to be off the air at the moment so I could not find any instructions to perform an upgrade.

I installed JA Extensions Manager and, after a small configuration problem, performed the upgrade.

It was fast, simple, and flawless.
