Please how can I create another menu position on top of the page, ie on top of the headlines. Something like the mega menu, if possible.

Hi tlobito!

To create new menu and assign to position headlines please do the following:

– Create new menu: Go to admin -> Menus -> Menu Manager and then create new Menus. Add items for it.

– Assign the menu to position “headlines”: please go to admin -> Extensions -> Modules manager and then create new module with type “menu”, choose its position “headlines”.

I’m unable to assign to headlines position. I don’t have a headlines position to select from. Now what? Do I create a new position? How? FYI I’m using Ores 1.6.Thanks.

Please open this file “templates/ja_ores/templateDetails.xml”,
Find and replace this code snippet
<positions>
<position>hornav</position>

With
<positions>
<position>hotnews</position>
<position>hornav</position>

Now, you can see this position on position list to select, and you should assign your module to “hotnews” position.
