That space is outside the template so you cannot use a module position
i think you can find a graphic solution maybe modify the background so you can put a new image with your logo

You also need to consider varying browser resolution and screen sizes. If you place your logo outside of the main viewable area, there may be many people out there who will not be able to see/view your logo (and/or anything else you position outside of the primary viewing area).
