    Hi all
Just installed the latest J.2.5 Droid QS successfully. Trying to load the photo gallery module, whos online module etc to the default right position. I published the modules to the right (JA Droid) position, made sure “display on all pages” is selected etc. but the modules never show. I have cleared every cache available many times but no joy.

Interestingly, when I do the ‘show module positions’, neither left or right position appear, yet are available in admin backend panel and definately associated with the ja droid template. (if I use the ‘template’ filter to look.).

Can a kind mod access my admin area and test and advise please as this is driving me nuts, login info has been added to this post

    Hey Shane:

Okay, I just spent a good 45 minutes or so trying to figure this one out. I’ve cross-checked your settings against the demo’s – and everything looks identical. I tried disabling “development mode” within your Template Manager – didn’t work. I tried clearing the JAT3 cache – didn’t work. I tried setting “Optimize CSS” to “No” – didn’t work.

Clearly, your “left” and “right” positions are not displaying . . . and this is puzzling.

Have you checked your Extension Manager to see if, perhaps, there is an update for any of the items you’re currently using?
    Worth a shot, anyway.

Not being able to see into your template files themselves, I wonder if the positions (i.e. divs) are set-up/coded correctly within the respective block files. You could always take a look and see – just in case.

I don’t want to suggest you “wipe clean and start from scratch” – as you shouldn’t have to do this. Try seeing if there are any updates via your Extension Manager and see if that “kick starts” things into effect first. If that does not work – and if you haven’t invested too much time in creating any custom content – you can always TRY wiping everything clean, downloading a fresh quickstart file from the JA Droid download list, and giving it another shot. (Time consuming, I know … but if it works, then it’s ultimately worth the effort – right?)

    Hey Tom
45 minutes! dedication, hope JA pay by the hour! Just checked all extensions etc. all are ok and up to date. I did some digging and in template manager/layouts I had set the desktop layout to wide not default, thinking this would complement the auto width , not realising it pushed the content area to full width and in the process removed the left & right areas. Looking at the T3 wiki on layouts it never mentions anything about this doing that kinda thing and lacks real explainations on the result of the layout changes.so my fault, learnt a lot now. I really am sorry you spent so much time banging your head against a ‘brick’ wall.

My apologies and I hereby nominate your for moderator of the month, I think JA should fly the winner to Vietnam on a 2 week holiday to meet the crew. Let’s hope Hung is reading this and implements the idea. LOL
    Blessings Shane

Not a problem Shane . . . . I’m glad you were able to resolve your issue – and sorry I didn’t catch the layout issue.
