    Hello friends,

I need to create a new space for a banner just below the navigation bar or menu bar. It measures 980×35 px

    Enclose two pictures:

    P1: Current Page
P2: Page with where I add the new banner with dimensions

How to do it without breaking the template?

    I have joomla 1.5

    Greetings and thanks

    Hi,
You can use slideshow position for your banner

Hi – If the dropdown does not show it in the Module Position does not show the “Slideshow in its list – then you can just type it in and SAVE.
Pretty sure this works. Then you can allocate your content to it.

Hi Dom, OK, Im new as well – but here goes
I guess you are making a custom HTML advert & not using the Banner Manager.
Goto Joomla Admin – Extensions – Modules,
When Module Manager opens, make a new module (Click New)
    Select Custom HTML, click next.
Give it a name etc – for Position : type in : slideshow (there isnt slideshow in the list but it is available)
In Menu Assignment – select what menus to show in or leave unchanged to show on all pages.
Add your Banner code to the HTML text (use HTML box)
Save it. It should work. I dont know how you set position if you use the Banner Manager 🙂
BTW – you image mockup looks nice
    Regards

    Thank you, seelife.
@domi681: if you want choose slideshow position from dropdown list. You add this code into /templates/ja_teline_iv/templateDetails.xml

    <position>slideshow</position>

    after

    <positions>
