I have JATrona happily working for a long time.
I want to use the new JASocialTemplate and I like the demo template layout.

If I upload JASocial in it’s entirety (with JASocial demo data), and turn on JASocial Template, will my current data for my site still be there – and be able to be manipulated?

You will not be able to change the website template from JATrona to JASocial in a button click. Meaning, you will have to rework on the modules and re-do the style instruction as said in the JASocial to make your website look good.

I would suggest that you do this changes in a local server / local machine and then over write the Live site with the new setup. Also, remember to take backup for your future references (if needed)
