Hi everyone, I’ve just joined the club 🙂
How often do you guys release new templates? And also, how often are the older templates made to fit Joomla 2.5?

New templates are usually released on a 1 per month basis. Sometimes though we get a bonus template which is what hopefully will happen this month with JA Wall.
As for the older templates being updated to Joomla 2.5, wel JA now have over 34 going back nearly 3 years. Correct me if I am wrong but this is more than any other template club at present. JA do plan to update some of the more popular templates from their back catalogue but at this time details are not available. It is not an easy task. To update them to T3 would almost be as much work as building them from scratch. To convert the non T3 ones would be easier but may leave some unhappy that they are not on the latest and greatest framework. It is a hard decision to make but one I am sure JA will talk about soon in the blog.
As for the current crop I personally think that JA Kranos, JA Orisite and JA Tiris are superb and I will certainly be looking forward to using them in the future.

If/when you update some of the older templates, will an update be put on the blog to make us members aware? I like to keep up to date 🙂

Of course. If JA do all the work to upgrade templates then I am sure they will want to tell everyone vue the Blog and probably also via social media. If you have not done already please subscribe the the Twitter and Facebook feeds.
