October 15, 2011 at 10:38 pm #169710New to JoomlArt and wondering what the the installation steps are.
I am guessing that I install the T3 framework first and then install templates of my choice. If this is the case, could someone point me to how to install the framework? I’ve already downloaded T3 Framework 2 for Joomla 1.7(2011 version), but it seems to come packed with a full Joomla setup and I looked but couldn’t quite locate a guide for it in the forums.
I already have Joomla installed on my system, so should I be using the JA T3 System plugin for Joomla 1.7 file or the JA T3 Blank For Joomla 1.7 instead? What about the Extension Manager Component file, do I need to install it? How do I go about installing these files: do I use Joomla’s built-in Extension Manager?
I apologize for all the questions, simply trying to make sure I understand JA’s structure and the various steps I need to follow to get it properly installed on my system. I looked in the Tutorials section but couldn’t find anything directly addressing my questions.
Any assistance with this is much appreciated.

if you already have your website and go with ja template you can:
– choose a template you want and install it
– install t3 with version relative your joomla version. thats a system pluginor you just install t3 plugin as framework and develop your own t3 template
thank you

With all due respect to my colleague, Viet … there is a much simpler and more complete way to get started.Assumedly, you saw one (or more) of our template demos – which attracted you to JoomlArt in the first place, correct?
If so, then the easiest way to get started is to start fresh and utilize the quickstart installation process. Here is a STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL for how to successfully perform a quickstart installation (with or without installing the sample data as well).
If you’re wondering why I recommend utilizing the quickstart, [URL=http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/the-value-of-the-quickstart-installation-redux/
