Hi!

I am completely new here and almost a newbie to Joomla too.

I have two questions: What is thhe credit system and how does it work?

The day after buying the Developers package I had to change my router. My ISP gave (Automatically – I don’t know how this stuff works) (Dynamic IP) me a new IP-address. This makes me a little nervous because of the limited five IP-addresses I am allowed to access my subscription from. How does this work? Can I relax and let my IT-guru at my company access the forum too? I mean from his office and computer?

Credit system: If you contribute to the forum you gain credits you can use to renew your mebership on at a later point when you have enough points to renew.

Share log in info: Please wait about sharing your log in with your it guru until we get an official statement from Hung about it, it has been discussed this morning too.
For your ip adress, this should be ok but if you have any problem log in one day just use the contact us link at top, but remember we can check which ip adress you logged in from;)
when you have a dynamic ip adress it within a specific range so you should go clear from your computer

The credit system was developed to encourage ‘interaction’ here on the forum. For instance, every time you make a post (even questions or suggestions), you will be rewarded with some credits.

If you assist somebody and they give you a ‘Thank You’, you are rewarded with more credits. Once you have enough credits, you can redeem them for extra periods of membership here, or even upgrade your membership to Developer Status. You can click on ‘Redeem for JA Membership’ near your username at the top for details.

I’m afraid not, my understanding of the siutation regarding forum access (to registered areas anyway) us that it is restricted to ‘Members Only’, ie, the people who have paid. You are not allowed to give your username and password to anybody else.
