New to Joomla – I know little to nothing about CSS and HTML. I understand the results one gets from the various typograhpy options in the templates – but i’m unsure how to implement them.

I’ve read the template guide – and can see the appropriate code to enable the particular typography choice – but I don’t know what to do with it.

Hi Gary
to use the typography features when you write your content for whatever page your on, in your editor, you have the option in most editors to view what you have written in ‘HTML’ there is usually a icon html click and you are in html edit mode from there you use the typography codes to achieve the desired result

say you want to have the inverted commas around some text ok?

we type …. I want this text to be surrounded by commas and look cool

type the text, switch to html editing and put the HTML code for the commas (ja Utahia II)
whicch is

<BLOCKQUOTE> I want this text to be surrounded by commas and look cool </BLOCKQUOTE>

note the difference in blockquotes

one turns on the feature one turns off the feature sort like a wordprocessor when you turn on bolding, you need to turn it off etc
anyway 5 50 am I need sleep
