Hi,
I did a fresh Joomla 2.5.14 install and trying to make the home page look like the JA – Travel template home page demo
I thought changing the Home page was as simple as changing what shows as default in Main Menu item
However I just cant figure out what to do –
It is set to show featured articles – enabling JA slideshow module does not show it
I have uploaded the Ja – template, made it default for the site, enabled the T3 framework and the various modules/plugins
Some pointers please…..

August 8, 2013 at 9:23 pm #501664When you installed your template, did you do so utilizing the quickstart installation process – also installing the sample data?
August 8, 2013 at 10:08 pm #501670Hello Tom,
I installed the quick start separately – everything worked – I could customize
I wanted to replicate on a FRESH/New install of Joomla 2.5
So after installing Joomla – I uploaded extensions – components, modules, plugsins and enabled/activated each one
I set the site template to be ja_travel. Now I wanted to customize the home page to look like the demo/quickstart (whiere the home page was a link to feature articles)
However, in a fresh install (no sample data), I just cant seem to add the slideshow module or change it – perhaps it is a issue of module positions – a few pointers will be very appreciated….thanks

August 8, 2013 at 10:09 pm #501672What you can do is utilize JA’s DEMO BUILDER to cross-reference the settings/configurations within the demo with your own – to try to get them to match as closely as possible.

August 9, 2013 at 1:55 am #501685Thanks – I now understand the relationship between content, menu and template….is there an easy way to export/import settings from the demo website for:
– modules, layout/position, menu assignments? -
