When I load the news module, the sliding news module buttons do not look like right. And the header cell for categories does not look like the demo either.
Here is a link. Can someone help.

November 27, 2007 at 1:39 am #233483You should install the quickstart package and then build your site from that.
November 27, 2007 at 2:13 pm #233531I have tried the quick start several times to no avail. The modules are not already installed and I get errors on the sample datat about the myql syntax not being correct.
What I have showing now is the quick install.
November 27, 2007 at 3:35 pm #233538The news module is rnning and the style issue is present. Thanks for your time.
November 28, 2007 at 7:28 pm #233635Anyone have any idea why the style sheets are not displaying correct? Either a quick installor a manual install give the same results.
I also noticed while searching through the forms, that theyre are different versions of this theme and mods at different locations around the site.
What is the latest version of the templete, news mod, login mod.
Thanks.
November 28, 2007 at 9:38 pm #233643I double checked and my server meets the minimum requirements for joomla. When I try to use the quick setup i get errors on the mysql syntax.
also the css doesnt appear the to be right.

November 29, 2007 at 10:47 am #233672Which version of the ja-news module do you use?
If i remember correct there is some settings if it should use built in css file or not, try to change the setttings there and see if the look changes?November 29, 2007 at 5:40 pm #233683I used the the version from the page you download the quick start on.
I went to the link sent above about the tutorials. The setting up of the databae is not a problem. I can install the quick start. However I can not import demo data without a mysql error.
And the other issue of the css blocks in the header is not displaying like the site demo.

November 30, 2007 at 1:32 am #233700Go into your Joomla Administration and from the menu select Modules and from the dropdown select Site Modules and then from the list on the Site Modules select the JA-News module. When it opens you will see the version you are on in Big Black Letters.
November 30, 2007 at 3:30 am #233703The version I was using was the version from the JA Teline download section.
I have since uninstalled. Thanks for your time.
December 12, 2007 at 4:55 pm #234432After repeated installs and failed importing of demo data from the quick start, I have once again used demo data from the joomla install to display the css issues I am having that is preventing me from using the template.
Is there any explanation as to why the sql demo data with the quickstart fails due to invalid syntax in the sql and why is it that my installs of this themes fails to render like the ja demo?
Thanks
