    Greetings,
    There are two bugs in NewsPro module Pulse theme bundled with the template (version 1.0.3).

    First one is “Show Sub Category Title” option being ignored – the column always stays in place.
    Second, the subcategory titles are not shown when choosing “no” for “Group By Sub Category”.

    Tracing through the code, I found that $cat object is not assigned to blog_item.php template scope when groupbysubcat parameter is false. One can find this quickly by turning on PHP notices.
    For now, I made a quick workaround by replacing $cat with $row in blog_item.php. This works because each $row – object for an article – has a property category_title that I can use to fill in the empty column.

    Ideas how to fix this properly? If this is a confirmed bug can we get a fix in the next update?

    Thank you for verifying this. Looking forward to seeing the fixed version.

    Got confused with email notifications I got for this.
    (1) the bug tracking link gives me “permission violation” error even after making an account
    (2) I got a technical support ticket that somehow says I have not replied in 48 hours and I am just seeing the ticket opened this morning. Am I suppose to do anything with that?
    (3) third notification I got pointed me to teline 1.2.6 progress tracker but this issue was not anywhere in the list.

    Am I suppose to respond to #2 or just wait around for fixed version to appear in downloads section?

    Hi,

    1. I am sorry the bug report was set to private. Now you can access the link I have given.

    2. You dont need to do anything with the ’48 hours.. ‘ email. That is autogenerated by our ticketing system.. Now you wont receive such mail, since I am keeping your ticket open till the issue gets resolved.
