First, I love the News Pro Module in JA Teline IV; however, I’m stuck on one problem and I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.

For my purposes, I’d like the News Pro Module to display news articles in the default style only. I don’t want front-end users to be able to switch to the other two themes: linear or pulse.

I’ve been messing around with the JA Teline IV “demo builder” (which is terrific by the way) and in the demo builder I just had to go into Module Manager and unpublish the pulse and linear layout modules, and this simple act removed the ability of front-end users to switch profiles (those little icons on the left-hand side of the first new pro module were gone).

On my site; however, unpublishing those two profile modules DOES NOT remove the front-end options to switch profiles.

Cache is disabled, my JA Teline IV template is in Development Mode, and I set up each News Pro profile/theme exactly as they were set up in the demo builder. Does anyone have any ideas on what I may be overlooking here? I’m sure it’s something simple and stupid, but I’m out of ideas.

    Dear basinradio,

It maybe is just a cache issue,You can clean all T3 Caches to see if it help 🙂

Yes I tried clearing my cache to no avail. I clicked the link in the upper right-hand corner of my admin interface that says “JAT3 Clean Cache” as well as clearing the cache under the “tools” menu in my admin interface.

However, I believe this problem is solved. All three of those News Pro profile options are showing up on the front-end even though I disabled the “linear” and “pulse” News Pro modules because my site is not yet live. Instead, I’ve just been viewing it using the “preview” link in the JA Teline IV’s template global configurations.

As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been experimenting with the JA Teline IV demo builder a lot, and I have disabled all but the default News Pro profile. Yet, when I viewed the front page of the demo builder using the template preview, all three News Pro profiles showed up on the front end as well.

So it looks like the News Pro profile icons always appear in “preview”
