    How does the newsletter “module” work? How do we set that up to our newsletters?

    Hi angie,

    It’s a custom HTML module, you can follow this userguide to see how the settings is: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/userguide-ja-nex-template-for-joomla-2-5/, section 7.

    Ok, I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. I can hit enter and it will submit, but clicking on the submit button does nothing. What can I look for in the code?

    I agree Newletter’s Submit button does not function. Instead you press Enter after entered an e-mail address. That question cannot be solved with the link given by Saquaros. That requires more information how to fix the button

    Hi there,
    The “newsletter module” to which you are referring is not actually a specialized “newsletter module,” but rather a custom_html module that was designed for possible use with whichever newsletter application an individual use should choose. As such, JA does not provide newsletter-component-specific support for any given newsletter component. So what you need to do is set up an actual Newsletter extension to work with the field created via the custom html.
    For a listing of Joomla compatible Newsletter extensions, see theJOOMLA EXTENSION DIRECTORY – NEWSLETTERS

    Thank you for reply. Could you give a hint how to start “integration” of a custom newsletter form with the Custom HTML Newsletter in NEX? Because me, and I am sure other users also, wouldn’t like to have a different design newsletter form on the website. So any instruction or idea is appreciated. 🙂

    Hi again,

    Other users obtain Acymailing component, you can use it, here is tutorial video that may assist you further –> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcLdtUHIkuk
    another video about newsletter creation with acymailing –>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UzPQcT1veI
    I’m not certain if this cut-and-paste link will work, but here is a listing of additional acymailing related tutorials you can check out –> https://www.google.com/#q=acymailing&hl=en&prmd=imvns&source=univ&tbm=vid&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=pvxoT_KVFsaBsgKo0IGqCQ&sqi=2&ved=0CHQQqwQ&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=6f9a12109a728444&biw=1920&bih=965

    Hi Saguaros, Acymailing is really good especially if it is “enterprise”. Let’s say it ‘fits’ the custom-html-module with some “dub-step” with CSS code. And it costs over 80 euro, ok quite good!
    But if you do prefer commercial decisions, then one can use this service, which has pretty tuning description here
    In that example they gave code, which I tried to paste in Newsletter Custom HTML form:
    1
    <div style="text-align: center;">
    2
    <div style="font-size: 12px; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px;">Получать обновления сайта на E-mail</div>
    3
    <form action="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify" method="post">
    4
    <input style="border: 1px solid #ddd width: 170px; padding: 3px; color: #999 background: #fff margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" name="email" type="text">
    5
    <input name="uri" type="hidden" value="username">
    6
    <input name="loc" type="hidden" value="ru_RU">
    7
    <input type="submit" value="Подписаться">
    8
    </form>
    9
    </div>

    Acymailing comparing to the free service above looked more NEX-styled. But even with Acymailing I couldn’t keep the same design of Newsletter form.
    There are tones of threads where users ask for ‘How to Newsletter’ and the most “responsive” thread answer was
    <em>@TomC 309565 wrote:</em><blockquote>I believe you should be able to link up your acymailing component to the newsletter custom_mod via an “a” tag

    <a href=”..”> </a>

    </blockquote>

    Ok, good beginning! Just provide more details if possible. This is not to enter backends and make forms, just an example is needed.
