    Hello,

I enabled the newsletter module on my site ( http://africablossom.com/), but each time I test it by typing an email address and clicking on subscribe, nothing happens. Either I don’t know how it’s supposed to function or it’s not working properly. My understanding is that one would input email address and the module would collect it into a database? Do I need to set it up in a certain way? thanks.

What you need to do is set up an actual Newsletter extension to work with the field created via the custom html.

For a listing of Joomla compatible Newsletter extensions, see the JOOMLA EXTENSION DIRECTORY – NEWSLETTERS

Thanks Tom, Sorry I am not sure how to do what you just described. Would you please walk me through it? thanks.

The first thing you need to do is look through the various Newsletter extensions within the link I provided for you above. Read the descriptions and comments form other users … and, when you’ve found one that you think you like, make sure it is compatible with the version of Joomla you are currently using.

You will then need to obtain the newsletter component – again, the links and instructions for which are within the various component listings within the link provided above.

Once you have chosen and obtained your newsletter component, instructions for installing and configuring the component should be provided by the component developer.

Thanks Tom! I installed a newsletter module, now how do I make it work with the existing field that came with the template? Thanks
