February 15, 2009 at 1:33 am #291495@scotty 112063 wrote:
Well, release a totally new template as normal but ALSO release a light/business version of Cooper as a BONUS release.
IMO it should have been done with Sanadine II.
Releasing a different version of the same template as the second release of the month is not fair to those members who don’t intend using the template in the first place or to those members who are capable of modifying the template themselves.
By releasing it as a Bonus they keep everyone happy and thus boost their reputation within the template community.

I uploaded white patterns to the JA Sanidine template on the day when people asked for those white styles, but they all insisted on JA doing the work anyone else can with simply whitening the existing pics either via the psd or simply via the images folder…I was one of the few who mentioned there already it is not fair for those who await a new second template when anybody can make these few files to another color, but the decision fell for those people, I also mentioned that normally some members can simply do this work for the community like usual in other clubs, where people share their modifications like with white styles or light styles for JA Sanidine but not letting the club do this costing another templates to be realeased in another month.
That is how is was here when it comes to those, people do not want to have any work, even when it is only replacing some member uploaded files with the ones in their templates, they want JA to do it, and this is little work for a user but took away a second template in the month for users like me who simply awaited a real second template and not a light version. There also my anger grew how this can happen. People are not creative, not willing to do some own work, like simply going through the 30 dark pictures and making the white or even any color they like, with even more possibilities in how the template shall look later. Therefore no Photoshop is needed, any simple Picture Editor can make such simple pngs and gifs etc. to any color desired even with some effects like shading etc..
BUT, I THINK THE NEXT MONTH, THERE WERE 3 RELEASED TEMPLATES WHEN I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, AND WHEN IT WAS THAT WAY, OKAY, BUT STILL NOT THE BEST WAY TO GO….AS FIRST ANGER GROWS THAT SUDDENLY THERE IS ONLY 1 TEMPLATE IN ONE MONTH YET 2 VERSIONS OF IT AND SO ON.

February 15, 2009 at 3:09 am #291503So is there a final verdict yet? Will the gray theme or business oriented theme be released soon? I just don’t want to get to far into development, if this template changes.

February 15, 2009 at 4:20 pm #291577Well, if the next template is… Teline III, I would go for a template for sure… but because I dunno, I must say I love the grey option just showed and I would not mind using it for my photography site instead of Teline II, which is getting a bit old after all the new templates you’ve showed us.
It’s a tough decision to make and I guess the’re is people here with more need thatn I, so I leave that to them. Iam still looking for a Teline III but well, I can wait…

How about you do a brand new template release but open a competition for the community to restyle JA_Cooper? I’m sure some of the talent on here could do some good work with the excellent structure you have provided and maybe come up with some ideas for the future too.

February 15, 2009 at 4:50 pm #291584Definitely a new template…and without all the ridiculous pre-release hype LOL
February 15, 2009 at 4:51 pm #291585I’d prefer more options for Cooper than a new template this month.

I was thinking more along the lines of Dev membership to the winner.

February 15, 2009 at 5:17 pm #291590Voted for “No, I want something new” as i believe that new styles for an existing template cant be compared with a totally new template.
And with the base of the current styles already available it should be quite doable to create your own theme.

I would like to see Teline III also. With many all of the functions of Teline II but with some of Cooper in there too. That would be a really good template!

I am curious what you mean by original for a change… I haven’t been a member long, but aren’t they all original? Or do you mean that they are all very similar.
What do you have in mind? I am curious.

February 15, 2009 at 10:00 pm #291634Well the last 2 have been quiet similar style sites IMO. Don’t get me wrong… I do think they are both good.
But I’d like to see some corporate or business style sites rather than more of these ‘club-ish’ image heavy styles. Clubish is the wrong word…. but you know what I mean.
I’d really love to see something different and new that Joomlart or the other clubs have not done before. And no… I’ve no idea what.
