January 6, 2010 at 8:32 pm #147378Bad, bad, bad.
I don´t know what i should have done wrong, but now, my registration isn´t working as before.
i just added a new frontend-user. He may login after registration and activation, and gets the “Update my Info” link. But when i push the link, nathing happens, except i go to the mainmenu.
The Link shown at the link is
http://mysite/index.php/component/jajobboard/
in my local testinstallation the link shown is:
http://mytestsite/index.php?option=com_jajobboard&view=jausergroup&Itemid=42
Any hints?

i solved the problem temporarily changing the external link from the non working link index.php?option=com_jajobboard&view=jausergroup
into http://mysite/index.php?option=com_jajobboard&view=jausergroup
but this can´t be correct, isn´t it`?

Hey, I do also experience the very same problem.
Could you please clarify what need to be done so that others who experience the same problem can solve the problem immediately ?
Now I’m stuck with the same non-working link :((

Check out if menu item type is URL. On original installation this seems to be default.
After support worked on my site, there is an additional type: JA Job Board » Jausergroup and it will work.
Seems that support put additional files or similar on the site.

January 9, 2010 at 9:52 am #328788Hi zealze,
Please find the solution below:
– Open file: com_jajobboardviewsjausergroupmetadata.xml.
Replace <view title=”User Group” hidden=”true”> with <view title=”User Group” hidden=”false”>
– Within back-end, edit menu Update my info => select “Change type” => Internal Link => select Job Board => Ja user Group => click Default layout
– saveHope this helps
