Installer successfully installs “JA Extenstion Manager Component for j16” but admin links won’t appear at backend. That is JA Extension Manager is not under Joomla extensions as a link.

March 5, 2011 at 3:33 am #379740Hello mate,
Please try to uninstall and install it again.
Joomla 1.6 sometimes is faced a bug about building admin menu for a component.Best regards,
ThanhNVMarch 5, 2011 at 3:12 pm #379836I was able to manage it manually but I don’t think it is a J 1.6 issue.
The problem was that JA Amazon and Ja Extension Manager installers can’t assign the true COMPONENT_ID in jos_menu’s component_id field.
I saw that the values for both extensions in this field were 0 (zero) and I changed them to the extension id’s in the extension table.Thanh Nguyen Viet FriendThanh Nguyen Viet

April 1, 2011 at 3:33 am #384373As you know, Joomla installer handles building admin menu job. Everything I have to do is to define information on xml manifest files.
So, I think that this bug belongs to Joomla installer.
I have submitted issue to Joomla Issue Tracker system.
I’m waiting for response from Joomla team. You can check this issue at:

June 9, 2011 at 10:19 am #395480I have done a clean install of 1.6.3 and followed that with JA Lime. I then installed jat3 and everything worked as expected.
Next I installed com_jaextmanager.v1.0.2 which comes with the package and received the messages that installation was successful but that there was an error building the Admin Menu.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Joomla, the template, the extension manager and jat3 but continue to get the same problem.
What am I doing wrong please?
