October 25, 2009 at 6:39 pm #145478I have been going crazy for days trying to figure this out, but I am hoping it’s a simple solution.
Whenever I click on an article title I get the title and the header but no article. I know the article is in there because it shows up on the Section and Category Blog Layouts. But I can’t get any articles to actually display as a single item, event the ones that came with the Joomla 1.5 install.
check out http://www.sagenexus.com to see what I mean (especially the article “The Tides That Bind” which is a full article in the Article Manager so it should show something.
Like I said, this is probably a simple thing, but it has baffled me for days. I will even donate a few credits to someone who can solve it.

October 25, 2009 at 8:43 pm #321508Do you have any plugin code inserted in your articles it goes enclosed in {some_code}?
Also, try to switch to another template and see what happens.dawax Frienddawax

October 25, 2009 at 8:55 pm #321510Good Point. But I switched to JA Purity and it still happens.
No code in any articles. Even the original articles from the Joomla install don’t work.

Interesting… Check the article settings, check is sections/categories are published.
Create very simple test article (no HTML, just text), and look what happens.dawax Frienddawax

October 28, 2009 at 2:17 pm #321906Sorry for the delay. Distracted by real life.
I made sure all the sections and categories are published and Public Access. I even created a direct menu link to an article and it didn’t display. But I am able to get a Feed Display to show. So I think it must be in the Article Manager somewhere.
I also uninstalled a Wiki component that I don’t really need with no success.
This is totally buggy. I do have a bunch of intergrated components like JomSocial, MyBlog and Jobs so I suspect there is a plugin or module somewhere that is hanging it up. Wosrt part is I had assumed it was okay so I had not been checking it as I installed these compnents. But my gut says it is a simple fix from the core Joomla build and I just need a decent Joomla geek to do some recon.

November 1, 2009 at 11:31 am #322249Sorry about that. I actually posted this on joomlancer because I was running out of time. It was fixed, but I didn’t remember to ask the agent to ask how he/she did it. I believe it had to do with the database which I am uncomfortable tampering with. So I was glad I got an expert.
Your attention was still much appreciated.
