February 16, 2009 at 9:26 am #138183Hi!
Is there a way of not showing an article on the “first page”? I have tried everything but I can´t seem to get the hang of it. I No matter how I do I see the first article in the “row” of articles on the front page.
I would like my front page just to show the slide show and a few components.

February 17, 2009 at 10:29 am #292006+ In Administrator, go to Content -> Article Manager to disable all articles which are displaying on the frontpage.
+ Open template.css file in templatesja_zeolitecss , at about line 562, find following code:#ja-current-content {
padding: 20px;
background: url(../images/content-top.gif) no-repeat center top;
}and change to:
#ja-current-content {background: url(../images/content-top.gif) no-repeat center top;
}

February 17, 2009 at 4:00 pm #292078Sorry, but that didn´t work. The only thing that happened was that the padding disappeard. Even though I inactivate all the articles from the frontpage, one of them shows. It´s the first one in the “row” of articles.
This is truly a mistery to me!

February 17, 2009 at 4:14 pm #292082I wonder if this is a bug in Joomla 1.5.9 or if something has happened just to my installations. I have two installations with the newest version and in none of them can I disable the article on the frontpage. I have a few other site in 1.5.8 and there the problem doesn´t exist.
I think I have to try a clean start and check if the systems “heals itself”.

February 17, 2009 at 5:01 pm #292091After some more researching I now have another theory.
I think my problem to disable articles from the front page has to do with Joomlart. The problem only appears on Joomlart´s templates. The sites I have made with Rockettheme the problem doesn´t exist. There I can choose not to have an article on the first page.
Has anyone else experience of this?
