Is there a way of not showing an article on the “first page”? I have tried everything but I can´t seem to get the hang of it. I No matter how I do I see the first article in the “row” of articles on the front page. I have tried to deactivate them but still there is an article there.

I would like my front page just to show the slide show and a few components.

I think my problem to disable articles from the front page has to do with Joomlart. The problem only appears on Joomlart´s templates. The sites I have made with Rockettheme the problem doesn´t exist. There I can choose not to have an article on the first page.

Has anyone else experience of this? And please correct me if I´m wrong about my above mentioned theory. I don´t mean to insult someone, maybe I´m doing something wrong…

The homepage I working on now has ja_zeolite. But I´ve tried to disable articles on the frontpage on other ja_templates as well, with a poor result.

Hmmmm…. everything looks fine and from the sound of it you are familiar with Joomla, maybe more than I am. The only thing I can think of is that you have somehow missed an article, but it doesn’t sound like you think you have. You could check the Front Page Manager to be sure there are no articles showing published there. If there is you can either unpublish or delete. I am sure you already know that deleting an article from the Front Page will not delete if from your site. If there is any article there that is unpublished, maybe try deleting it.

Yeah, it´s really weird! Even though I change from one article to another that I want to be shown on the front page, I even swop places on them in the “row” – nothings happens. It´s stuck! And of course I can´t get rid of any texts.

I can´t get rid of the text and I can´t change it to another. AND it´s the same with other Joomlarttemplates that I use. AND I have refreshed the site, i e taken away temporary internetfiles!!!

DEEP SIGH! What to do?
