There definitely seems to be an issue with cache on the front-end using JA MegaFilter
I had my site set to Conservative Cache, turned on JCH and site was working fine.
I had a MegaFilter page open in both Safari and Chrome.
I then added more items to my store and added another filter option.
From there I cleared the sites cache and nothing changed in either browser that I had open when I refreshed the pages.
I cleared expired cache as well, and nothing updated still.
So I manually clear the cache in my Chrome browser in order to make it show the new changes… Screenshots attached
I even tried re-indexing the items and still nothing on the other browser…
I know I had mentioned in a previous post that it fixed itself, but I’m questioning now if that was correct.
I waited about an hour and kept hitting refresh on the Safari page. I even closed out the browser and opened it again and it’s still showing the old display even though the other browser that I cleared the cache on shows correctly.
This means that whenever there are new items added to my store a user would have to clear their browser cache in order to see them????
Expecting people to clear their cache in the browser just so that new items display is not going to work… people don’t know to do that and how would they even know. They would think I just don’t have anything new…
Can you put a check in there somehow that will update it or force an update if the sites cache is cleared or something?
Am I missing something?
Thanks
Adina
