I can not get the JA Slideshow to show the description in this template. I want to use text and my own read more button to the right of the IPad

Try add this at end of template.css file::

span.ja-slide-desc{position: absolute;right: 100px;top: 80px;width: 550px;}

and adjust values accordingly
