March 6, 2013 at 9:47 pm #185586Hi JA,
I’m having problems with JA Slideshow II when displaying images from a folder. I can get the image to display, but the description text does not display. It looks like I have the parameters set correctly.
Will this template only pull description text from content articles, only?
I’m working with J2.5.
Anybody else run into this problem?
Any help would be apprciated.
Here is a sample of what I am using for my description text code:
<h3>My Image Title</h3>
<p>blah blah blah… Image description here.</p>I’d also like to be able to link the image AND the text to an article. What would be the correct code?
Thanks,
RailerSaguaros ModeratorSaguaros

March 15, 2013 at 1:39 am #486551Thanks for your reply Saguaros,
I’ve got the description text to display, but only on two out of four images. I’ve checked and triplechecked the code. Even duplicating existing desc section code and replacing the values carefully. The other two images display, but no description text over them.
I was working with JA Slideshow 2, version 2.5.5, just upgraded to 2.5.7 and the problem is still there.
Here is the desc code I’m working with:
<h3>Title Number 1</h3>
<p>Scholarship Winners at the NTA/UTA Travel Exchange 2013 &8212; <a href="index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=852&Itemid=364">Read more...</a></p><h3>Title Number 2</h3>
<p>May 30 & 31 - Coney Island & Jamaica Bay. &8212; <a href="index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1021&Itemid=395">Read more...</a></p><h3>Title Numer 3</h3>
<p>September 26 & 276 - Plymouth, Massachusetts &8212; <a href="index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1020&Itemid=394">Read more...</a></p><h3>Title Number 4<a href="index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=825&Itemid=353">Read more...</a></h3>
<p>Bid to make a difference</p>
It is also not displaying a hand cursor when rolling over the photo.
And the Read More button is not clickable.
I’ve cleared the cache, too.
Can’t imagine why two would work, and two would not.
Please let me know if you think you need to access the site.
Thanks,

March 15, 2013 at 3:33 am #486562Dear Railer,
Hand cursor only appears when hovering description / readmore / thumbnail section, not the main photo.
Guys in this thread may have same concern: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-slideshow-url-links/
See you around
