Hi,

I added a featured article for the home page, but nothing is displayed.

Please advice.

Hi 7of9,

By default in the quickstart of JA Hawkstore, we set Home menu item with Featured Articles menu type. So that you just need to go to Template Manager >> JA_Hawkstore – Home >> Layout tab >> Select Default layout.

Note: I need to notice you that all products will go away because the Home layout is a specific layout we created for Home menu item only.

Hi Leo,

Thanks for your reply. Is there a way to keep the products and be able to show at least one featured article, in order to inform the visitors about something important? ie: When the company closes for vacation.
If not, how do you suggest to resolve the above?

You can show the articles on the Homepage by following these steps below:

– Go to templatesja_hawkstoretplsblocks path, clone mainbody-home.php file to new file named: mainbody-home-content.php

– Open new file mainbody-home-content.php, add below line into:

<jdoc:include type=”component” />

– Open templatesja_hawkstoretplshome.php line:

<?php $this->loadBlock (‘mainbody-home’) ?>

to

<?php $this->loadBlock (‘mainbody-home-content’) ?>

Make sure you assign the JA_Hawkstore – Home template style to Home menu item, your articles will display fine then.
