Hi,
I set my site to be bilingual, actived the language filtre, the languageswitcher module and add the two languages: english and french, yet on the page, it’s a white box where the languageswitcher is supposed to be, as indicated in the attachement.
Thanks

You will need to create 2 new menus 1 for french and another for english and set respective menu items home as default page for respective language

Hi,
Thanks for answering and responding with pictures. I did that and it worked but I still don’t have the flag, just words. Also, I used the main menu that came with the installation document as the French one and it’s not working as the English one, as presented in the first attachement.
I have tried to creat another menu in French but I can’t have the same Menu title nor the same alias in both main menu and the french menu because if I choose the home page of the french menu as homepage the menu on top would disappear.
For now, I just have one question: am I obliged to creat 2 menus for the 2 languages I choose, or I could somehow use the mainmenu that came with the documentation as the French one?
Thanks

October 19, 2016 at 9:03 am #978031Hi,
Thank you for proposing to solve the problem directly, I’m afraid I’m not at liberty to do so. I created another menu and now only when in French does the top menu disappear when not on homepage, I would like to know if there’s a module for the top menu?

October 19, 2016 at 9:50 am #978068Hi,
The first attachment is what’s like for the homepage and the menu on top is clearly visible; as in the second attchement, the page of an article, there is no menu on the top, making it very difficult to navigate throught the site.
I’m afraid the site is not on line now.
Thanks

October 19, 2016 at 10:04 am #978079the page of an article, there is no menu on the top, making it very difficult to navigate throught the site.
That page ( menu item ) should have assigned as template the template style used for language – maybe you are still using a template style where menu type ( your language menu ) is not assigned correctly to it .
Look at the screenshot below as language menu assignment example .
