Hi,
Almost gave up with rebuilding my site using Joomla 1.6, but the Teline IV template seems to be my answer. Still working on the site, but loving the overall look and features available.I have 1.6 running in a development directory. I want to add a gallery to some of the posts and Joomlaworks Simple Image Gallery is 1.6 compatible. I am using it on a local install with a different template and it is working fine. I just installed it to my development site that is using Teline IV and there are no thumbnails. If I click on the image box, the lightbox window opens and displays the photos correctly. Can you help point me to the conflict with the template and this plugin?

Thanks.
February 11, 2011 at 8:29 am #376151I’ve experienced problem between simple gallery and joomla-arts templates. On the other hand the template has is own image manager (ja thumbs) which one is non-working too. By now i haven’t still found a working image handler for 1.6.
I hope JA can fix up as soon as possible JA_thumbs and his popup. Maybe you can use that, once has benn fixed.February 11, 2011 at 2:03 pm #376210I had the same issue and after 5 hours searching I found the answer in the K2 forums.
My issue was that the file names of the images had brackets in them, which causes the thumbnails to not appear but the images to open OK. Make sure all the image filename’s don’t have any strange characters. Also make sure you aren’t zipping a folder of images, rather highlight all the images you want in the gallery and then compress them and upload the zip file.
EDIT – Just looked at the gallery. Try removing the ‘_’ characters from the filenames.
Hope that helps as it was driving me mad :).

February 11, 2011 at 4:48 pm #376231Thanks for the feedback. The Gallery issue is another snag with trying to move over to 1.6. I hope this can be worked out.
Rustyt – removing the “-” didn’t help, but thanks.
Hopefully the JoomArt developers can chime in and provide a timeline on JA_Thumbs or a SIG solution since it seems to be an issue on the JA end.
February 11, 2011 at 5:10 pm #376232Well, it looks like the problem lies with a conflict between JA Thumbnails and SIG. I disabled JA Thumbnails and all the gallery previews are displaying fine.
I’m just getting into this template and the plugins, so I’m not sure how many areas are affected by disabling the plugin.
