    Hi,
I am unable to publish articles to the front page as category blogs or featured. All other menu items besides “home” perform normally. Also, in the template profiles control panel I am only allowed to choose mega as my menu system. Finally, how do I create a left module position for a menu? The developmental site is here: http://jvtestbed.com/.
    Thanx,
    -Jim Gribble

It is working, thanks! What was wrong, for future reference? What did I goof up?
Also, why is mega my only menu option?
How do I create a left module position in the CSS for a side menu? This will be for the members-only section of the site.
    Thanks again,
    -Jim Gribble

I am so sorry to be a bother, but the template also will not allow me to switch themes. It is NOT a cache issue. I have never had these problems before. Could something have gone wrong with installation?

In checking further, just like with the articles issue, the themes problem only affects the home page. Inside pages do default to the selected theme. I am scratching my head. Is this a T3 issue?

    Hi

I can switch through your themes without problems you have 1 setting wrong look HERE

<blockquote>Also, why is mega my only menu option?</blockquote>
You can have only one mega menu but many other normal menu i have created a new menu and published it in the left position check the Homepage layout to watch how is configured the block to have the left position, clearly needs to be stylized with some css that is not yet done since that position is not included in the layout released but you can copy a stylized position like position7 and copy it.

Anyway for all references would be better for you take a look at this documentation

Thanks, I saw you added a left position. I will tweak the CSS. The menu question is this: usually we are given several systems to choose from, including CSS and dropline. Does this template come with only one menu system? I am restricted to using the mega menu? (Yes, I’m experienced with adding menus and menu modules.)

You need to create a new Profile or modify one that you already have to change the main menu settings

I modified the blue profile to have the Mega menu with drop line and assigned that profile in page assignments to the left menu

    Please check

I see. Of course! You have to select a theme. Then you can pick your menu system. It’s not an option with the default profile. Many thanks for helping me sort this out. Off and running with the new site.

    Hello again,
You created a “left” module position for me, But that is not working; neither is the standard “right” position that comes with the default CSS. The “user” positions work fine. The problem is, they push the article down to the bottom. I need the “right” and “left” because it’s a way to float menus and other elements off to the side of articles. I realize of course that I could embed the module in the article, but I’d rather not because this site will eventually be handed off to the client’s internal webmaster, and I need to keep everything as simple for her as possible.
The slideshow styling came out beautiful; I wasn’t seeing it because of a cache/plugin issue in Chrome.
Another question: This site has several sections. I created custom profiles with intuitive names and then applied customized themes with unique headers and some menu restyling. I would like the option to rename the themes – again, to keep things simple for the client. How can I, for example, rename the “grey” theme to “homepage.” The ability to label everything intuitively would be a plus. I suppose I could simply rename the “grey” folder in the root files, etc. Or would that cause a breakdown?
    Thanks as always,

P.S. This is the first time I’ve completely exploited the T3 framework; love it and will be reviewing it.
